In May, Baker, Braverman & Barbadoro P.C. teamed up for a second time with DOVE, a domestic violence assistance organization. This time, the Firm was collecting personal and household items to benefit residents of DOVE’s shelters.
With containers in BBB offices on the 5th floor and in the lobby of 300 Crown Colony Drive, the collection drew hundreds of items from tenants and visitors to the building. One visitor, Dr. Richard Wolfert, made the trek from his dental practice in South Weymouth to help the cause with 150 dental kits.
“Many women stay in bad situations for fear of not having anywhere else to go. DOVE provides options for those women but to do so requires assistance so these families have the basic day-to-day items we often take for granted,” said Wolfert. “Baker, Braverman & Barbadoro are to be commended for conducting this drive.”
DOVE, Inc. provides a broad range of preventive and responsive services to victims of domestic violence and their families. Over the past year, DOVE has provided emergency shelter to 38 adults, 34 children, answered more than 2,500 hotline calls, provided community-based services to more than 900 clients and educated more than 2,000 teens and community members on the many complex issues surrounding domestic violence.
