Allison focuses her practice on all areas of matrimonial and family law. She regularly represents clients in divorce, child custody and support proceedings, and has also experience representing clients in adoption and guardianship actions. Unique among her colleagues, she has significant experience representing clients who are involved with the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families (DCF), including handling appeals from adverse DCF decisions. Additionally, Allison is a trained mediator, and she routinely serves as a neutral mediator or conciliator in divorce actions. She is also regularly appointed as a Guardian ad Litem in both the Probate and Family Court and Juvenile Court.

When she is not practicing law, Allison enjoys spending time with her husband and two stepchildren, their two Siberian huskies and their two black cats. She is a committed Syracuse Orange basketball fan, despite their struggles in recent years. She is also an experienced SAT tutor, and has devoted time in recent years to helping prepare prospective first-generation college students for their admissions tests.
